2023: A World in Distress

As we approach the end of this tumultuous year a retrospect is welcomed. Instead of the traditional retrospective view, we have seen year after year, I, instead propose an amalgam of views that hopefully will tie together at some point.....

In the plight of trying to be as succinct yet detailed and as organized as possible, I will split the year month by month and our discussion shall start that way.

January : 

January 3rd - The United States Congress convenes for the first time after the 2022 midterm elections. This marks the first time in over 99 years that the House of Representatives Speaker was not determined by an initial vote.

January 7th- Representative Kevin McCarthy is elected Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.

February :

February 2nd & 7th- Defense officials announce that an alleged Chinese Spy Balloon is flying over U.S. airspace. The balloon is shot down on the 7th.

February 14th and February 21st - Nikki Haley announces 2024 candidacy followed by Vivek Ramaswamy on the 21st.
